On yer bike

On day two of riding into work. The cycle into work along the canal side is great. On Monday morning it was a lovely frosty morning so it looked amazing.

It takes me 20 mins to get in roughly plus 10 mins for shower and getting changed.
Overall its not far off the amount of time I would spent in the car on a bad day!

Really enjoying this and the bike performs well (fornt shocks are ace!) even if the rider does not!

I need to stick at this!

Got the bike

All set.   I have my Hard Roc Pro.   Now I just need to get out on it.  I have given up my parking space at work so from Monday I am cycling in through the woods and along the canal side every day. A great way to kick off the day!

Interestingly, from a colleagues recommendation I bought a Buff for covering up my face when cycling in cold.   Bikes open up a whole new world of gadgets!

The End of Battlestar

Finally BG has ended and wow, what a finale.
Everything I wanted.

Amazing final battle and a touching and really satisfying epilogue.  Won't say any more but this was the best series finale I think I have ever seen.

Bike it

Getting my bike on Tuesday
Specialized Hard Rock Pro.   Going to start biking into work and get rid of some lard

Battlestar Ends

Last 2 episodes of Battlestar on TV tonight.
The most interesting sci fi tv series ever comes to an end finally.
All good things come to an end and glad they didn't drag this show on until it jumped the shark.

Watchmen Seen

Saw Watchmen on Friday night.  Premier seats, screen 1, digital with 3 friends.

Snyder made a great movie for people who love the comic.   To anyone who either never read it or did and either was not into it or thought it was okay it's a lot to take in over nearly 3hrs and not so hot in a post-Batman Begins world I think.

I enjoyed it as a fan boy.  My friend enjoyed it because he loved the comic.  My other two friends thought it was okay, but were most in awe of Dr Manhattans dominant blue manhood!

Anyways, as I say its easy to be a hater so I went in giddy as a kid as ever and had fun.  Job done.
What's next?

Dollhouse

Dollhouse, the latest series from Joss Wheddon is pretty fun.  Kind of like Quantum Leap in a weird way, I think.

Watchmen

Only a few days before The Watchmen is finally realised as a movie. I remember the impact the comic (sorry Graphic Novel) had on me as an art student back in the early 90's so I am looking forward to this.

So far some mixed reviews but its easy to a hater. I choose to look forward to this and get excited!

...then again I did that with Indy4!
Will I ever learn?

What is this all about?

I have a fairly wide set of interests and tend to be pretty fickle and get into one thing for a while then move onto another fad/interest.

Most of these interests cycle around with me coming back to them later on. For example: I used to be into Mountain Biking when I lived in Scotland. Then I got bored of it, got lazier and forgot about it. Now I am into it again and a whole new world of biking gadgets and trails has opened up again.

Also right now I am into going to the movies again - which has pretty consistently been my thing it’s just that being a dad gets in the way of doing stuff like that. Having watched a few I feel ready to share some thoughts on what I think is hot and what's not.

So, I thought I'd start a blog to share what I am into and why and generally spread my opinions to those who either care or stumble across this blog.
